Founded by Mr Satish Ranjan Das, a visionary lawyer from Calcutta, the school was conceived as a blend of British public school traditions and Indian aspirations. On September 10, 1935, the first pupils were admitted, and the formal inauguration took place on October 27, 1935, with Lord Willingdon presiding over the ceremony. The inaugural headmaster was Arthur E. Foot, an English educationalist with a background at Eton College, England.

• ISC Class XII Result 2023: Total Candidates appeared – 38. An average batch percentage of 88.3%, with 53% of candidates scoring 90% and above and 92% of candidates scored 80% and above.
• IBDP May 2023 Results : All Candidates were successfully awarded the Diploma. Approximately 39% of the candidates have secured 35 points and above.
• Cambridge IGCSE March 2023 Results : 97% candidates achieved 5 A* to C
